The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has awarded Altia Group, through Bilbomática, an Altia Company, a contract to provide software quality services worth up to 12 million euros.
These services will be adapted to EUIPO’s requirements, standards and procedures, and will be provided for information technology (IT) projects falling within the scope of the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2025, as well as for maintenance activities required by the Office.
This award is a consortium with Axians for a maximum duration of 4 years. The resulting framework contract will be managed by the EUIPO Digital Transformation Department (DTD), which provides IT services to support and further its objectives. EUIPO’s activities require a cost-effective, efficient and secure digital environment with streamlined digital operations, robust IT security and high system availability.
Working in a first-class technological environment, Altia Group will deploy multiple different testing activities covering all areas of the different EUIPO projects, like test automation.
Óscar Fernández, Head of European Services, said: “It is an honour for an organisation such as EUIPO to trust us to deploy software quality services and collaborate to improve its entire IT infrastructure. With this contract, in addition to continuing more than 20 years of work in European institutions, we are moving forward as a leading organisation in software quality assurance services.”
