We talked to Bran López Pintor, a student who has done his internship with us.

Bran López Pintor

1. Why did you choose Altia to do your internship?
Because I had good references of the company, both externally and from colleagues who already worked there. In addition, I saw the company at the Job Fair at the faculty, and researching a little more decided that it would be the  best option for me.

2. How were your first days?
The first few days were a little weird because I was a little lost. I started on a rather complicated project, and at the beginning of the internship my colleagues prepared videos and tutorials for me that explained how the project and its technologies worked. A few days later they introduced me to the team, explained to me how the project was developed, how the incidents were solved, and the most technical parts of all of the above. During my internship I started to feel part of the team.

3. How was your experience in the AltiaDigitalHub program?
I would define it as a positive experience. I learned how a company works in the real world; how you work with a client, what problems are there, how they are solved, how information is managed… Also, I really liked the LinkUp workshops. Many were technical talks on subjects that we had already seen in class, but there was also one in which we were explained what the emotional intelligence of people is and how to improve coexistence in the work environment.

4. Did you imagine it like this?
I imagined it more impersonal. Being a large company, I thought we would be workers in a company and that's it. However, in Altia the relationship with colleagues and teams is more personal and close than I imagined.

5. What do you think you've evolved into?
I've learned to work within a big team. At university I was in much smaller work teams and in tiny projects by comparison. I have also gained technical knowledge on how to work with a customer, how to resolve everyday issues, and how to use work tools in a more agile and effective way.

6. If you had to define your experience in 3 words, what would they be?
Positive, didactic and dynamic.
