We are taking over IT support for the next six years.
The European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) has awarded us a framework contract worth up to 6 million euros to provide IT support. With this project, the Agency will advance its digital strategy and adopt an IT service model that combines the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework with an innovative development model based on DevSecOps and advanced IT security practices. The framework contract, which has a maximum duration of six years, covers various services, from strengthening the current IT infrastructure to the development and maintenance of advanced information systems.
The European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) is the EU body in charge of coordinating fisheries surveillance and control activities between Member States. Seeing the need to be at the forefront of technology and respond more efficiently to the needs of fisheries control in the European Union, the Agency sought to modernise. As part of this process, it called a public tender, where it awarded Altia this contract to enhance its support capabilities in IT infrastructure, IT security and systems development.
Altia, as a leading technology consulting firm, will be providing IT operations services, including 24x7x365 support to the Agency and ensuring business continuity, as well as software development services throughout the lifecycle of the Agency’s information systems. This will involve the implementation of standard ITIL practices, applicable to both infrastructure and development services, an Agile/DevSecOps model to implement and improve software applications and a specific focus on IT security, testing and validation.
Óscar Fernández, European Services Manager, said “today we are deeply satisfied to continue our relationship with the Agency and to continue, without a doubt, to contribute to the technological transformation of both private companies and public organisations in Europe”.
