Altia participates in the "SAT2CAR project" - A vehicle communications service system connected via satellite" coordinated by EGATEL and in which QUOBIS NETWORKS, PEUGEOT CITROEN AUTOMOVILES ESPAÑA and HISPASAT CANARIAS also participate, and with the collaboration of CTAG Technology Centre of Telecommunications of Galicia, GRADIANT - Technology Centre of Telecommunications of Galicia and the University of Vigo.
The project, which began in 2016 and concludes in 2018, has a total budget of 1.726.262€ and its execution is mainly located in Galicia.
The project has the main objective of developing and validating a comprehensive system of mobile vehicle services and applications through a communications operating in the Ka band.
The project is funded by the CDTI - Centre for Industrial Technological Development - through the FEDER-INTERCONECTA 2016 program, is supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, and is co-financed with FEDER funds from the European Union.
